Where masters are made
As in previous editions of chor.com, masterclasses with top-class master teachers on different focuses were also in the program of 2024. Participants of the masterclasses had the opportunity to devote themselves to a topic in more depth in several course units. Passive participation was possible for chor.com participants in all public sessions (subject to availability).
All masterclasses were held in English.
MASTERCLASS WITH ANDERS EBY AND MIKAELI CHAMBER CHOIR
Under the direction of Anders Eby, the four-day choral conducting masterclass as part of chor.com 2024 offered choir directors the opportunity to develop the conducting skills in all aspects, improve body language, solve rhythmical problems, create a tone controlled technique, show dynamical differences, pronunciation, intonation and interpretation.

MASTERCLASS WITH JIM DAUS HJERNØE AND VIVID VOICES
This masterclass “Vocal Painting and Improvisational Works” was a groundbreaking journey of artistic exploration, tailored exclusively for choir conductors seeking to push the boundaries of traditional choral direction. Led by professor Jim Daus Hjernøe, a visionary conductor renowned for innovative choral programming, this immersive program redefined the participants’ approach to choir leadership.
MASTERCLASS WITH MARÍA GUINAND AND JUNGES VOKALENSEMBLE HANNOVER
The masterclass with María Guinand explored different ways to approach the study of the score and prepare it so as to propose efficient ways of rehearsing, produce an adequate choral sound for the chosen work, correct diction and phrasing, and create a personal interpretation that conveys the essence and message of the music.
